Where has the time gone?!
I knew that it had been a while since I’d updated the blog (and the website), but I didn’t realize it had been TWO years! We’ve been busy - both personally and with Fort Hill Designs - and unfortunately the non-creative, administrative kind of stuff falls to the wayside. I can’t cover everything - hell, I can’t even remember everything that’s happened in two years - but here’s a summary of what we’ve currently got going on.
Below is part of our display at the shops at Cape Neddick, located on Rte. 1 in Cape Neddick, Maine. The shop is divvied up into 7 women-owned businesses; our spot is upstairs.
Here are some additional shots of our space:
A holiday event is scheduled for the evening of November 7th at the Shops; the 10-year anniversary celebration back in August was fun, with lots of folks stopping by, so this one should be festive and busy!
I’m also still displaying/selling items at the Kittery Art Association’s gift shop. I’ve been away for most of the drop-offs for art exhibits - skiing and rafting have taken up a big chunk of my time - but I’ve started to gallery-sit again, so I’ve been able to deliver some of the latest creations to the shop.
I’m in the process of updating this website as well as our Etsy account (which has been on what seems like a permanent vacation, because I was afraid we’d receive orders while I was away!), so that we can focus on our current obsessions: flower pots, bird houses, key chains/purse tags, driftwood sailboats, galvanized metal, and ornaments. Check out the Gallery section for more individual photos; hopefully I won’t wait another 2 years to share what we’re up to!
